Stock intake CAN be good up to 400hp with supporting mods. Doesn’t mean it will help get you there. Intake definitely helped your setup.

I have the same catted pipe and love it. Almost the same mods. K&N cai, charge pipe, turbo inlet ebcs and flex fuel pushing 355hp. Love it. And added the race version mishimoto tmic.

I'm running similar FBO mods and phatbotti e tune on 91 octane in Kalifornistan. I can't imagine what the E60 tune feels like. Wish we had 93 octane too. That being said, I love how hard my car pulls right now after his tune, I am definitely satisfied even on the 91 octane.

New sub. Liked your mild mannerism. Not over selling or overly geeking out. I like that. Just honest and to the point. I picked up a brand new wrx last week (2021) and I’m interested in modding it. Suggestions?

Pretty good advice. If you want 500 hp seriously think about getting AT LEAST forged internals. Mine is completely built, and puts 470whp which is a bit over 540 hp crank. (Figuring 15% drivetrain loss, which is probably low for awd)

That jump from 93 to e60 is fucking wild lol why I love wrx .

Bro awesome content. Very knowledgeable. Great info about all the list of mods. I’ve been following you since your 2015 VA. Glad you’re back with another. Good luck with your goal of 500hp!!! Excited to see how well the motor would hold.

Nice haven't seen anyone else with the 1320 downpipe as well. I think I'll go charge pipe, top mount intercooler, then flex fuel next, then etune from ron. Currently have the downpipe, intake, and clutch upgrade.

since u got the e85 kit did you do fuel rails? if so where are they, i just bought a 2020 wrx and it has a shit ton of mods...cobb intercooler, cobb intake, cobb turbo back exhaust, cobb e85 sensor kit, cobb boost controller and thats all ive found so far...id assume its still tuned because of not throwing any codes or lights...didnt come with an accessport so ill be buying one of those and possibly a clutch kit no issues at all so far.

I just want a 10-15% bump in hp/tq. It's a street car and I'd rather focus on handling and driving dynamics/manners. If I can't add power, I'll look at removing weight (w/o going to extreme). But any route is a losing proposition no matter how you look at it.

You can gain more with a fmic

TMIC can also have a lot heat soak

I have a 2020 wrx. Not sure if I wanna do aos or cans because I live in Canada and get crazy cold temps and have read stuff about lines freezing. Also I think I saw that the WRX trans starts to become unreliable after 300 whp

I find it interesting that you only had 275whp with your setup ...I have pretty much the same WITHOUT an aftermarket downpipe and BREN got me to 311whp... I'm going to go ethanol soon, and you get my hopes up that you got essentially a 100whp increase on E60! That's crazy

Looking forward to seeing your progress! What made you go from a 15 WRX to a 20 WRX given they are basically the same thing? Why not STI? Any track day action coming up?

Have had the boomba bpv on mine since 2018 and no problems with it

You’ve a jpipe with stock catback?? How’s that working out for performance and sound?

I think I should get a tune by Phatbotti because I just got a tune on my 21wrx making 302 whp with cobb big sf intake, IAG AOS, cobb bypass valve, cobb ecbs, grimmspeed turbo inlet, grimmspeed fmic, ets gesi jpipe and borla s catback.

Is the catted down pipe required or suggested? Trying to figure out the least expensive way to get close to your hp number! I kinda like how quiet the car is from factory just want some more power without doing bolt on mods. Flex fuel seems like the way to go.
