I ran a stage 2 btr cam, 92 mm intake, jegs maf sensor and cold air intake, with a tune. Shit was nastier than porta-potty on hot summer day!

Chuck Norris so strong he's got mechanical parts named after him

MAKE SURE YOU GET A TUNE AS WELL PEOPLE. THATS A VERY IMPORTANT PART WITH BIG CAMS.

I put a truck noris cam in my ls2 GTO and picked up 100 HP and 125 foot pounds. They are great cams. I used the stock yellow gm springs. Rev it to 6500 and it's been in for about 2 years without and spring problems. Just so anyone is considering

I did vortec swap on a 95 dakota, easy peasy, 5 grand all in with the truck that I bought for 700 just changed in a cam, gmc canyon ar5 trans and a 8.8 rear end out of a explorer with 4.10 gears..omg this thing rocks

I’ve never been interested in car motors or trying to understand all the different types of shit involving a motor!!! But my boy @TBCG makes this stuff sound pretty interesting!!🤟🏽

You can run flat tops and deck the heads to get a bit of compression. I had a 351C SBF that was pushing 12:1 compression. I had to run premium plus two bottles of octane booster when I couldn't get race gas. I don't suggest going over 10.5:1 in a street car. You can get the power, rather easily with a good top end and cam. You also need to address the rotating weight at the dampener and flywheel if you want a motor that revs and drops rpms quickly so you can get fast shifts. It's more important to have an engine that's built right regarding good seal at the piston and valves. Beyond that it comes to flow and a complete burn

You will have to deal with the computer to achieve any timing changes on an LS engine. You can't just turn it up or down at the distributor or with an MSD kit because there is no distributor at all. Programming can help these engines out a lot.

Also the 6.0 is great if you can find one. A sloppy stage 2 cam package and long tube headers and you can hit 500hp that route as well without touching the bottom end

Let me just say the knowledge you hold on LS motors is so impressive to me. Bro keep making great content

The 243 ls6 heads are the same as the 799 castings that came on some 5.3Ls like the L33 which is a rare aluminum block 5.3L with flat top pistons from the factory. So an L33 is basically a flat top piston, aluminum block, with ls6 heads. So just add a cam and swap on an LS6 intake. Which is exactly what I've done. The literal only difference between the 799 heads from a 5.3 and the LS6 243 heads is the exhaust valves on the 243s were sodium filled. I'm now contemplating adding a turbo to this engine because I love massive power and it's in a 4000lbs 2000 ZR2 S10 4x4. You could do a mild cam and ls6 intake on a stick L33 and put it in a little light weight car and it would scare the hell out of most anyone. An rx7 would be a great car for the "baby LS6"

The 243 heads don't really make any more power over the 862/706 on the small bore. Also a cheap alternative to the dome pistons you can use the 4.8 pistons.

Actually it's been proven by Richard Holdner that the stock 706 heads make more power on these engines while staying N/A because they have the smallest combustion chamber than 243 or 799. They bump up compression, just mill them down .30 or .40 thousands

Mane I HATE YouTube shorts dudes. But you got some original content and actually make this format interesting instead of mindless scrolling

You can also take the flat tops out of a 4.8L and gen4 rods out of a 5.3L with the same set up @TBCG AND achieve the same results
