I haven’t been able to connect my phone via CarPlay for weeks. I took my car into the dealership and they couldn’t fix it, I took it to the auto tech dept in Best Buy and they couldn’t fix it. If I had only found this video first, it would have saved me from the frustration of thinking I was never going to be able to use this feature. I tried EVERYTHING you said to do in this video. I went to connect to my Mini Cooper and it connected instantly! Thank you!!!

Spent hours with both Ford and Apple. I have a 2020 F250 King Ranch. This is the only video that got Apple Car back on my truck. Thanks!!!!

Ok, so I just followed your instructions to the T right until forgetting the car under car play and recomnecting it cuz the following step you described sounded complicated. So I parked and went on my honda crv screen and went to settings -> connections -> bluetooth -> and made sure my phone (out of the 2 devices that are saved)was checked as “priority” on it’s carplay options (options were audio, phone and carplay). The moment I did that carplay appeared all over the screen and things went back to normal. Hopefully that will continue to be the case, I’ll update this comment if the issues come
Back 😅

Here is what worked for me and may help you. I have a 2021 Chevy Suburban.

OnStar could not help and I spent hours deleting and adding iPhone both via USB and Bluetooth only with no luck. OnStar said to turn off truck and then open and close driver door and wait 3 minutes to reset the vehicle. I had tried that before I called OnStar.

Here is the fix which is a true reset. Simply open the hood of your vehicle and locate the negative lead to the battery. Take an appropriate wrench or socket to loosen the nut and remove the negative lead(s) from the battery. Wait 30 seconds then put back and secure the nut. You will hear some relays click etc. which is a great thing.

Now close your hood, start your truck and add your device. It should work again. You’re welcome

What I just found out, when connected to a USB cable to a vehicle, carplay seems not to work when a VPN may be on. I know this was the case with Google. One VPN enabled. Once Google one VPN was disabled, everything worked normally.

I reset my phone and my car factory rest. After that I enabled Siri on my phone and then connected my phone to the car . That helped me out

Also make sure that CarPlay isn't restricted. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions.

None of the steps from any video worked. The only thing that fixed me iPhone projecting on the screen was changing my car’s settings (enable carplay). It automatically turned off
