Quitting is easy, I’ve done it like 5 times

I’ve been smoking cigarettes since I was 15 to about 23 and transitioned to vapes ever since. I am 29 now. Today will be my 9th day completely free of nicotine. I thought about going out and buying a bottle of juice again to get my fix but it’s not worth it. If you already have the mindset to quit, follow through with it. You will find it a lot easier than you would think!! I never thought I would go this long without vaping but man I’m on my 9th day! Weird bc I didn’t experience any withdrawals, I get cravings still and I think that’s something that won’t ever go away, but for sure I am better off than I was the first few days. Only gets better. Mind over matter. Y’all can do it

I've been trying to quit for 2 years . It's harder then people portray . The struggle is even worse when you have mental health issues .
It's not just a craving, it's dealing with the emotional rollarcoaster that comes with withdrawals.
If you have a job, a busy life, a distraction to help you quit, you probably will do well .
But for those who don't I want you to know that your not alone .
If your struggling to quit vaping please know your not a failure.
Every time you try, your taking a step forward (even if you relapse, don't beat yourself up)
Keep going xx
Keep trying xx

I've been vaping sense 2020 and I would go through about 2 vapes a week. I'm currently on quit day 3 and I feel like i'm really being tested today. Keep me in your prayers

I’m 24 hours in now and the withdrawals started to hit. I’ve been vaping for 5 years+ years. Im on repeat rn telling myself “This feeling sucks but I’m ok and it’s only for a few days.”

I’ve been a heavy vaper for 7+ years. I’m on my 4th day. It hasn’t been one bit that tough. Even with withdrawals, I’ve been able to maintain myself. Just keeping your mind busy and body moving is a great way to ease tensions. But, what I’ve been telling myself that’s been helping the most is that all of it is a lie! I heard that nicotine withdrawal is a lie pushed by companies to keep you hooked and scared to quit. Just keep telling yourself this. Also, mint gum is a huge help. Good luck!!!

I’m 27 days into it, I’m personally surprised I’m far into this. It’s hard to really commit to it when you dont have many videos/articles about quitting vaping because it’s “trendy”. I’m glad I have quit, I was able to find many ways that helped me not think about it during this. The first week was the worst because I had to adjust to this new lifestyle I’m trying to bring in of not vaping anymore, but also finding what helps me not think about getting a vape. I bought the nicotine gum, and used it for 2 weeks, I got tired of the feeling of nicotine for how it made me feel sick so now I just chew peppermint gum. The peppermint gum helps give me the same burn as the nicotine gum, but without nicotine. At this point I don’t even crave for anything nicotine related, I’m really surprised, but it’s different for everyone. Quitting this habit is the best decision I’ve made in a long time. If any of you are interested in quitting, just go for it, you won’t crave nicotine once you get past 3 weeks. If it was easy everyone would do it!

Genuinely, quitting smoking was easier than quitting vaping. I can’t describe it. The cravings are different, the feelings are different

I'm working on it. I got all the way up to the 5% stuff, 2 per week. Now I'm down to 1 puff every 3 hours. This doesn't sound like much progress but considering I was vaping 3-5 puffs, about every 20 minutes, this is a huge personal victory for me. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel but I'm going to follow the tapering down method. I'm going to avoid alcohol because I really don't think I can drink without diving back into nicotine. I will beat this. I'm putting in more work at the gym and on my trampoline. Exercise and weed seem to help more than anything. I must say, at the start of this, I got full on dope sick. I was having a melt down, crying spells, severe depression and anxiety, borderline suicidal thoughts. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

Every time I buy a new vape I get major regret because I want to quit but the cravings are so hard to replace, but I think this is gonna be my last vape to get me through this flu so I’m not mixing withdrawal symptoms with super flu symptoms making me feel a lot worse

I think that quitting vaping is more difficult than quitting cigarettes myself. Vaping is a better technology and more effective in getting nicotine directly into your bloodstream.

I vaped for 5 years, spending about a 1, 000$ a year on pods/disposable vapes ..for what? Anxiety?, depression? And a 5 second head high that I stopped getting after a year of vaping anyway? I’ve been clean for 3 days and already feel so much better. withdrawal has been a breeze for me and I’m already more happy just for the fact I made a good decision for my self and my body, anyone thinking about quitting do it for yourself you will be proud and thankful you made the decision, also sunflower seeds help with the cravings!

3 years, heavy vaper. Every problem I have seems to stem from nicotine addiction and my family is addictive, so naturally it is harder for me to quit. But im so tired of feeling this apathy and resentment of myself what I've done to myself. To every one out there struggling, we got this. Mind over matter. And remember how it feels to take a full breath of fresh air, unimpeded by this addiction. "Your future self will thank you."

Best method is to cut down. 1 puff an hour, then every 2, 3. Keep going until you’re on like a couple of puffs per day. Sustain that for a long enough period of time for it to no longer be a struggle then the transition to quitting won’t be so hard. Also learn to appreciate normal air more without the need to inhale vape, let that become your new inhalation addiction. Gl!

Lost an incredibly well paying job because I couldn't wait 8 hours to smoke. Supervisors caught me vaping behind one of the machines and walked me out. That was a month before the pandemic and I fell into ALOT of debt because I couldn't afford to keep up with the brand new Mustang GT and other miscellaneous things I had bought BECAUSE of that job. Had my first son on the way as well. Crazy to think how much an addiction has affected my life.
