How to Get Your First 100 YouTube Subscribers | Do it | 2017

Not your typical first 100 subs video. Unique tips that helped me get my first 100. Good luck!

Thanks for stopping by, today I am talking about how I got my first 100 subscribers and hopefully giving you some tips to help you grow your YouTube channel in the process.

I realize I only have a few hundred subscribers at this point (and thanks to all of you awesome people who have subscribed), so with so few subscribers, why should you even listen to me?

1 - Because I’ve just done it, I started this channel Aug 2016 and hit 100 subs Jan 2017.

2 - I’m not a huge channel, which means I can relate much of what you go through as a small YouTube channel.

The focus of this video will not be about creating quality content, awesome thumbnails, or keyword optimization in this video. Maybe i’ll make one later, but you can find tons of these on YouTube already.

I want to talk about the unique things I did…

First and foremost, I watch 100% of every video I upload, after it’s uploaded, to give it view time.High average view time helps videos rank higher in searches, so I try to help that happen by watching my video. I also give it it’s first like.

Second, I tried to make the majority of my first 100 subscribers authentic subs. This means no sub for sub, no loading your sub list with family and friends, and no purchasing subs. If you really want your channel to snowball, let the first 100 build authentically.

It’s okay to ask for subs in your videos and you should throw some invitation into every video. Inviting viewers to like, comment, subscribe, or share can be help grow your channel faster.

Third. Comment on similar videos and interact with community. This will be a little different for each genre. For me, I searched education topics and then organized the videos comments by date and answered recent questions from the viewers. This is a good way to advertise your channel without saying “Hey, I’m a new channel please subscribe please!!!”
Along with this, make sure you are commenting on your own videos and responding to your viewers comments.

Finally. Stay motivated! It’s going to take time and progress can be slow at times. In my first month I uploaded 8 videos and received a total of 3 subs and 31 views, most of which were mine. By the end of the second month I had uploaded a few more videos, reached 6 subscribers and 113 views. It takes time, but if you continue to put in the work and upload quality content semi-regularly, your channel will grow.

To stay motivated, celebrate the small victories.

Your first sub from someone you don’t know.

Your first 100 views.

Your first 10 subs.

First comment, video share, video to reach 1000 views. Just be happy with any growth and find what works best for you.
