Yep watched it loved it.. does not replace the first 2 original films. However it is going to get quite a few watches from me and a physical copy to add to the collection. This is a proper salute to the original and not a cash grab remake, reboot, re-quel, retelling, reimagined, reinterpretation and however, many more re's there are 👍

Saw it, loved it but I don't think there's gonna be another one.

Loved the Cenobites but I really loathed the secondary characters (with the exception of Voight) and found all the circumstances that led them to the Berkshires mansion very textbook writing to get to the third act. And Riley’s lamenting as the ending…let’s be honest, is she really going to miss her brother? All they did was fight. It was decent enough but I just felt the writing was eh.

Apparently this is available on Disney plus in the UK which is mental. Al only be seeing if it's released on dvd 📀
Disney plus though how many very young people could be scarred if they accidentally watch it as most people I know don't have child protection on their streaming services. At least I was 11 when og was on vhs here. I just don't stream as I only have Internet on my phone and it's difficult to watch a film on it

Personally, I loved it. Would love to see this franchise continue with Jamie Clayton. An actual continuation, not like the previous films

Yea I was a little confused. They were very adamant in marketing that this wasn't a remake but it certainly felt like one. A good remake though. I was very happy with it.

I'd say this was a solid 7.5-8 for me personally. It definitely started out pretty slow and the older gentleman's character just felt like an unnecessary inclusion to the story. I know Doug Bradley was approached to cameo in this film and that character would've been a great callback and more sensible. The characters also just felt like character I didn't either root for or care for their demise except for the older brother who genuinely cared for the main character and then just got killed off. I feel like that was probably a deleted scene that happened and they felt it didn't work out well.

I love the Cenobites designs, they were all fantastic. I didn't like any of the human characters thought as I thought there were all flat and bland. That come mainly from the script that Ben and Luke wrote.

I admit they borrowed a lot from the first 2 movies but I also feel Clive Barker’s involvement was him trying to use those ideas to tell a clearer story.
One issue I had with Hellraiser 2 was the amount the we had to put together a lot of what was going on (specifics, like most viewers wouldn’t really know that much about Leviathan in 2 except the surface level of the story). The book part in this explaining the configuration made a world of difference in this one to me.

I would like to ask one thing.
Is there already an international release date?
Also because they often said that Hulu would switch to Dinsey + or something similar, so I was wondering if, almost a month after its release, anything is known about European distribution.

I enjoyed this large parts of this movie, however for a lot of the movie, I was bored. I was texting friends during the movie and said, it is boring. There were great visuals: the new cenobite designs for the most part were great, though we only get the best look at them in the end; the walls of reality breaking apart for only the person that is affected was very cool. However, I was never scared. Some body horror that was uncomfortable, but I was never terrified or scared.
