“Pain has a face, allow me to show it to you. She’s stood right behind me”.

When the killer camps you during the end game after you've run him around the whole game.

He has the exaggerated swagger of a Hell Priest and he will use it.

The reason it’s so alarming to the cenobites/pinhead to hear that word, is because they are the ones that are trapped in the infinite cycle of pain. Never-ending. Trapped in a different dimension, of which they came to be there, by pain itself. Picture someone saying “ My life is worse then yours” yet you have a trillion more reasons that make their life look like a cakewalk. That’s the exact meaning of this scene. They are pain incarnate, while others merely just suffer pain slightly. That’s what he means when he says “Let me show you”. People have no idea what true pain. It strikes you to the soul and you’re never the same, if you can recover from it, it’s not true pain.

I think the reason I love this scene is because of the commitment in his voice. He's truly insulted by their interpretation of "pain". I love it. Pain isn't a word for him, It's his "lifes'" work
