I was surprised with how much I enjoyed this reboot. I absolutely love the first two films so I was skeptical before watching it. You can tell they put a lot of effort and passion into this project. I love the new cenobite designs. Honestly, this could very well be one of the best horror remakes of the past 20 years! I really hope we get a sequel to this.

This is one of the most disappointing things I grew up with was how bad each one of the movies got. The story and characters are such an amazing creation I just thought it deserved to be so much better. This one is as good as the first and you can tell they worked hard to not discredit the original but put a new spin on it and it worked so good. These reboots usually don’t pan out but this one did

I love how there were just so many coming out of the woodwork, some you'd only see on screen for a handful of moments but the designs stuck in your mind. Like Torso was shown in press photos but I hardly spotted him, but his look was so awesome it left me wanting more! The most horrifying to me though was a brief shot of one that seemed to look pregnant (was my mind playing tricks on me?).
If we get sequels (and I really hope we do) I'd love for the only tying factor to each movie to be the cenobites. Make it an anthology series that spans countries and timeframes, giving us glimpses into how some of the cenobites were created and also giving us a rotating roster so that if some are killed off in one movie they can still make a reappearance due to the ever changing timeline chronologically.

These new Cenobites are brilliantly designed. They're beautiful, gruesome and elegant. I find something new each time I see them!

My favorite thing about this movie (besides the kills) was that the cenobites were all androgynous. They're sexless, extra-dimentional beings and its so alien and different while feeling somewhat familiar. When Voight was transformed at the end they stripped him of not only his skin but his humanity. Beautiful and horrifying. He is now as they are

It was flawless, and the hell priest is chilling (even when she had a slight smile and looked like a happy cat in the gift exchange scene). Couldn't be better IMO, I hope they cast the same folks to do more movies. Jamie Clayton's performance is classic, a giant. Hopefully she liked it and accepts more roles like that in different horror movies. The gaze and the voice was on top.

While not as good as the first 2, its a really solid reboot. While i wish Doug Bradley was back, the new Pinhead did an excellent job. Its up there with the first 2.

The casting was perfect. I loved the design of the cenobites as well. Different but still recognisable. I love their voices as well, so otherworldly.
