Another interesting thing about Göbekli Tepe is that it was buried with sediment upturned by human hands. In other words, buried with shovels, intentionally, not through random earthquakes or mudslides.
Secondly, the thus far excavated regions are what places it in the dating of 11k BC.
But the LOWER parts which have not yet been excavated, may be even older.
The dating of 11k BC is from the sediment with which it was buried. NOT the construction time of the site.
We have no idea how long it stood there BEFORE being buried.
