I am blown away by how much Kevin and the team has been sharing openly, his lectures are mesmerizing! I hope to someday be able to join the program. I am very impressed by the progress of all the students' work that I have seen.
BTW, I have been following these 3 exercises you gave, and it has already improved my confidence in paint/brush handling. NO ONE ELSE has ever taught things like loading the brush, what consistency your paint should be, how to do the brush strokes, NONE OF THAT. And I have been to some really great teachers, but they all seem to assume some prior knowledge. I love that this program assumes nothing, and skills build on each other slowly.

This looks like intro to drawing, intro to painting one and two, and life drawing, all classes that I took in college and that were interrupted when I had to leave suddenly 30 years ago. I am so tempted to join your classes because I know they are the real thing just seeing the representations of light and dark black-and-white properly finally after 30 years, to get this you would have to go to a top art school or take several intro and upper level arts and painting courses at an upscale liberal arts college to get this kind of knowledge. I have paints and canvas, however I just need a refresher and I'm seriously thinking of joining❤

What I dont understand is how you make up things even if you unterstood value, edges and color. How can you paint something that doesn‘t exist without painting tons of similar things before. May you elaborate on that please? I find that highly fascinating.

Well you gotta be good with composition… no matter how great you are with colors and blending and highlight and shadow. Get the shape of things right. I feel this should be the first skill you lock down before anything.
