Tried "5 min rule" for a nap and dozed off for 7 hours.
Gotta say, it worked like a charm for me 😝😂

*How to Learn Faster*
- preparation (learning how to learn)
- 5 minute rule (activation resistance)
- focus on the weakest links
- test yourself (active recall - ANKI)
- spaced repetition - forgetting curve
- overlearn - learn in more depth than need to - keep asking (understand the rationale for things rather than accepting)
- teach someone what you are trying to learn

“Learning is not supposed to be easy and if it’s hard you’re doing something right” well said ❤️⭐️

When I was in high school, I hated math. So instead of doing math homework, I programmed my TI-84 calculator to do the math for me. I wrote custom programs that would not only find the answer, but also show all the steps in between so I could "show my work" as the teachers wanted. Most teachers were fine with this, as TI-83 or better calculators were required at my high school and these teachers saw it as simply "using the resources available to you." Awesome teachers. But one had a problem with it, so much that she took my calculator away and made me re-take the test by hand without a calculator. The thing is, I had been so thorough in writing and testing the program that I had learned the formulas and I aced the test even without a calculator.

I guess my moral here is, find out a way to make it fun. I enjoyed programming the calculator, TI-BASIC is a really easy programming language to learn, and the repetition of testing case after case, probpem after problem, eventually made me learn the formulas and how they worked without even trying.

Learning how to learn should be taught in schools. It's such a valuable skill, and one which we could all probably improve upon so videos like this are so helpful- thanks Ali.

He seemed genuinely worried about his phone when he did the double take after tossing it.

I recently learned my 4th language and it's crazy how everything you learn has a hump, once you push past that curve it comes so naturally. The main trick is DON'T GIVE UP!

Albert Einstein said, "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough." Teaching what you've learned to others forces you to examine what you know to the point that you can explain it to someone with no prior knowledge. Good advice.

"Learning only happens when we are trying to fix our weaknesses"
Just brilliant
This is going to be my personal motto.

Love how I don't need to increase the speed of Ali's videos while watching them. He just naturally speaks fast and whatever he says is brief and to-the-point.

Anyone else just find Ali’s voice really relaxing & soothing to listen to? I could listen to the man talk ALL day, no cap.

Re-wiring the brain to learn a different way is one of the most difficult things but well worth it!!✌🏽

My dude Ali you're saving my life right now. Fell into a ten year slump and forgot how to learn, stopped growing when my peers went ahead. Thought i had adhd or something and was considering a diagnosis. Kept revising the same page over and over. Now I know better because I know how to learn what I learn. Much faster now, though my peak is yet to come. Heartfelt thanks❤👊🏼
