Discovered your channel through your comments on Buildzoid’s channel. This is a great video! I bought this card and started to panic after watching his video. This was by far the cheapest 4090 option available in the U.K. at £1730. Though the VRM and PCB are disappointing they should hopefully last for a good few years especially at stock OC’s… I hope. I just can’t justify paying £300-500 more for an ASUS/MSI and they have their own issues apparently such as coil whine. Anyway, thanks, I appreciated your thoroughness. Subbed.

Would you recommend the palit game rock model of this card over the galax SG? These are the two models that are available in my country also a video for which 4090 to buy and which to avoid would be nice

How is the card for coil whine? Many of the Asus and MSI cards are plagued with it. I have now tried 3xMSI, 2x Asus and 1xZotac. The Zotac had half the amount of coil whine, but the fans...well, fan motors were horrible.

Since there are less reviews of Gainward Phantom, mostly being previews or just unboxings, do you think that it is possible that Phantom uses the same PCB as the Palit ( GameRock )?

I ask because in my country Gainward Phantom and Palit GameRock are the most affordable 4080/4090s and I wish I'd go for the Phantom because of asthetics but I don't mind Palit also, unless I took the PCB analysis to the heart.

Hello. I have a Palitv4090 gamerock video card not OC. It warms up to 77 on chip and 94 on Hotspot at peak loads. Is this normal? Will there be no harm to my video card? Will these temperatures shorten its lifespan?

Do you think it’s safe to flash the gamerock oc bios onto the none oc model? Is the hardware the same just different bios between the 2 models?

This isn't the first time we've seen 3 slot GPUs becoming norm nowadays. There are a few GPUs such as Gigabyte GTX 680 SOC, high end ASUS DirectCU II cards (GTX 580/680, HD 6970/7970), and Powercolor HD 7970 Red Devil having 3 slot just for either big cooler or intended to be more powerful than vanilla.
