Ok, why not test it in GPU rendering with engines like Redshift and Arnold also? you guys do great work here, but keep in mind that a large portion of the customer base that buys these cards are not only playing games but also use it in production work. Please, I'd love a comparison of the 3090 and 4070 super in offline rendering to see how that goes.

Let's be honest, taking the prices for VRAM into account, for the price of a 4070, there should be 16 GB VRAM. But that would make the 4070 too capable for too long, right? Nvidia does not want that. :D

Reminder that a GTX 980 4GB released in 2014 at an MSRP of $550, which adjusted for inflation is $680 in 2022 dollars. An RTX 4080 16GB released in 2022 at an MSRP of $1200. That is over 76% greater than the inflation adjusted price for the same class of product.

My 3090 cost over 2K during the "mining shortage." The regular consumer was screwed (and continues to be) by the industry, including Nvidia. Record profits.

Umm...Should you not be comparing it in equal grounds? Should you not test it with equal settings and features to show which one is faster? This seems like a big company is afraid to show that a 70-class of nowadays is actually a 60ti-class gpu of previous gens. We are upgrading but backwards.

The problem with comparing frame generation on vs off is frame generation doesn't noticeably improve the responsiveness of inputs, so it feel pretty much like playing at the lower frame rate. And the tradeoff of frame generation, particularly at the base frame rates here is that while the visuals look more smooth the tradeoff is noticeable artifacts e.g. they are particularly bad in games like Jedi Survivor which can have big frame time spikes. That is if the game has frame time spikes it may be more enjoyable to just play with it off. It's most useful for games that are approaching solid 60 without big drops - that's not the case for some of the games there.

This is BS FSR3 frame generation works with all rtx cards and the rtx 3090 has more cores and more bandwidth and more VRAM so that rtx 4070 super makes no sense basically especially if you owe that graphic card no need to swap or to upgrade I made the decision to upgrade my rtx 3060ti to and Rtx 3080 12 GB and trust me it performers neck to neck with the Rtx 4070 not even mentionning that I got it for a very compelling price (400$) and in a very very good condition even with FSR3 frame generation so yeah Rtx 4070 is expensive for no reason now and it's a product that missed it's shot when launched

Lovelace is a more efficient and less power hungry chip than Ampere. You should test the 3090 with the Framegen file. The results were very impressive.

I think now NVidia should concentrate on how to improve FG and DLSS quality like ghosting effect and artifacts.

If you have a 3090 do not buy a 4070 super. Thats a bad upgrade. TBH there is no upgrade worth it for you considering the prices. If you like wasting money get the 4090.
