Who says cats can’t learn tricks? Inspired by my friend’s kitten Leon, I taught Ali to high-five, and she’s a quick learner. Can’t wait to see her become a high-five pro 😼

Thanks. I've been wanting to teach my cats to high five! They already automatically sit with getting treats. lol they learned from watching Bailey, our PittPei. He sat for his treats!

Ali is not only smart but gorgeous, and she has a loving, patient mommy. ❤ But yeah, some cats and dogs as well are just not feeling it. It's not that they're incapable or lack intelligence, they just don't want to do it. Just like we humans 😂.

I started training my new kitten last year and my older cat picked up the high-five rather simply by me holding up my hand with the treat in the other. She didn’t see me train the kitten either. The lay down/roll-around though 😅 that’s more challenging.

I managed to train my cat to hi five, sit and give paw.. he is slowly learning to lie down

My niece, when she was younger, taught one of the cats that her family owned to do high-five, that was quite some time ago as since then, both cats they owned had been put down due to health issues and age!!

people give up on a cats to easy because they dont pick up as fast and arent as loyal meaning they dont HAVE to do it.. The dogs feel obligation to perform. But cats can learn so many fun tricks with time and whatever their incentive is!! Most cats are usually affection driven, food driven, or play driven.. or a combo or them or all
