Why People Hate Danica Patrick

Danica Patrick is one of the most successful women in American open wheel racing history, but she has also proven to be a divisive figure. Despite her accomplishments in IndyCar and NASCAR, Danica Patricks comments off track about women in motorsport, conspiracy theories, and publicly supporting Donald Trump has caused F1 fans to reject her in new new role as a presenter for Sky F1.

Poor Jenson has to deal with her all the time. He's the best person to go to for a insight into F1 that's not a current driver.

Every single time she opens her mouth I roll my eyes and I’ve seen interviews where she almost seems proud of knowing nothing about F1

I don't care about Danica's politics, that's not why I dislike her. I dislike her because I find her to be very narrow minded, not easy to listen to and is completely incapable of reading the room at times. She's also only part of the Sky F1 team in order to provide an American voice, but there's plenty of other American pundits they could've picked over her.

I think
Straight up
She should have stayed in Indycar

Sabine Schmitz would have driven circles around Danica Patrick. Come to think of it, Sabine would’ve driven circles around most male drivers today 😁. RIP Sabine Schmitz 😔

Growing up I used to think she was great as she was out there having a go. But her lack of accountability, always blaming someone else and now the fact she's trying to stay relevant on Skysports with the utter bullshit she sprays

Because she’s basically unlikable. I think that covers it.

This video is not really a good analysis of what the subject matter purports.

She is a great driver, but not a knowledgeable analyst or commentator. It is as simple as that, also she doesn't try to learn more about the sport and car.

I always found it funny when fans brought up her only win in IndyCar as a fuel saving win. As if thats not part of racing.... The fastest car does not always win.

She may have only won 1 race. There are alot of guys who raced in Indy or Nascar and never won.

I dont really think this video provides anything new to the situation that people didn't already know.

You should have added more about the Joe Rogan interview, she has no passion for motorsport. Do not get me wrong, you do not need to know every single bits and peace of the machinery or how the car works but show some passion.

The reason the FIA and F1 don’t want political views put out by drivers or teams is because they don’t want people to stop watching because of political views. The commentators should be held to the same rule

I don't care about her political views. I do actually care about her not being in any way a good addition to the sky team, she gives just a plain generic answer to questions, nothing interesting.

My objection with Danica as an F1 TV personality is the exact same criticism I have with her doing any motorsports commentary - she makes it all about HER. Using Las Vegas as an example: when discussing how the weather was so much different in Vegas vs. traditional F1 races, she brought up that she lived in Arizona, which was the same climate, and she liked the weather. No take on how that applied to the race. When discussing traveling to the GP, she again mentioned where she lived and that it was only a 4 hour drive from the track, which was very reasonable, but she’d only made the drive a couple times because she usually flies. Talking about the Las Vegas culture, she mentions she is often in Vegas for speaking engagements and promotional requirements, but offers nothing beyond that. Learn a lot about HER life, but rarely converts that into useful knowledge for the fan.

Us American women on the right side of the aisle also can’t stand her. She’s just so annoying.

My main problem with Danica Patrick being a pundit on Sky Sports F1 is the fact that she has never been a Formula 1 driver, or had any association with Formula 1 up until now. I feel to be a pundit, you should have had some experience in Formula 1; either as a driver, or in some team personnel role, like with Bernie Collins and Eddie Jordan, for instance. Danica Patrick is more known for being in Indycar and/or NASCAR, so ideally, she should’ve been a pundit over there instead.
