There are so many things to admire here.
Both parties know their stuff and respect each other.
The interviewer is knowledgeable about the subject and can ask good questions.
The interviewee is not just some spokesperson, or a beancounter C-something-O; he is a CEO with the hands on engineering impact and passion.
When he realizes the implications of the asked question, he starts thinking how to make it better, not fighting for his ego, but for the better product.
And at the and he acknowledges where the idea came from.

I might not like Elon for his twitter shenanigans (even though I don't use or care for twitter itself either), and I might disagree with his goal of a Mars colony... But I gotta respect him for this.
