I cannot tell you how much the retinol sandwich helps! I have seen a dramatic improvement in the texture of my skin. The laroche posay double face moisturizer is amazing and I can’t believe I had never tried vanicream before. The face wash feels nice.

No wonder I had an issue with adapalene before! I was using tons of hyaluronic acid moisturizer. Nobody ever told me to switch out the hyaluronic acid based moisturizer for a thicker cream. Thank you so much for this wonderful advice!

My favourite thing about your videos is how structured and detailed your information is. Not everyone can deliver useful information so well, but you do it excellently 💗 Also love the new format for this video, and how you recommended numerous products with different price points that are internationally available, instead of just CeraVe 💗 Will definitely continue to support and recommend this channel 💗

Thank you for recommending the LaRoche Posay Double Repair moisturizer. It's a life (or skin) saver for those of us that use retinoids.

Tretinoin needs to be over the counter also.

I started on Differin long before I discovered your channel. Fortunately I never had any problems with it and never did the moisturizer sandwich thing. Then when I started following your channel, I added a vitamin C serum to my morning routine and it's made such a difference in terms of the anti aging benefits (no acne since menopause 😉). Thanks for providing good, sound advice in the ocean of misinformation known as the beauty industry.

Just a PSA that Target carries AcneFree brand adapalene same strength, 0.5oz for $9.99 vs Differin's 0.5oz for $12.29

Oh my gosh THANK YOU! I've been using differin for 7 weeks now and I still have a stingy face, and light bulb moment when you said it's because of hyaluronic acid! Everybody on skincare threads recommends Cerave in the tub, which I've been using, but it has hyaluronic acid.

I have been using this product for years. I am 47 and do not have many wrinkles at all. It also keeps my milia and blackheads at bay and lightens up my melasma. gentle too.

Thank you so much Doctor. I'm very very grateful to find your channel! You save me ton of money. I had moderate acnes and Differin burnt 🔥🥵 the heck out of my face.So I quit. After this video I went back for it. I use La Roche cleanser + Corsx BHA ( Paula Choice is too strong at this moment) + La Roche Double Repair Moisturizer in the AM. At night, I use same cleanser + Time Revolution First Treatment Essence + Differin + La Roche moisturizer. I let my skin break 3 time a week from Differin. On those break days, I use the same cleanser +The Ordinary Niacinamide+La Roche moisturizer+ La Roche B5 balm. My face is clear after 3 weeks. I'm working on the routine to get rid of those ugly acne scars. Thank again 💖

This is so helpful!! Thank you so so much! :) I am 42 but have the skin of someone much much older :( I am guessing from the years of sunbathing. I am not able to spend much and really appreciate your budget friendly options. So thankful I found your channel and am on my way to get the the vanicream cleanser now and hopefully the differin next week!

I’ve been doing your dry skin routine for acne in one of the older videos and my skin is healing! Thank you so much bc I didn’t know what to do any more with a lot of acne that kept on hurting my face 💛

I started this routine on me and my son about 6 weeks ago and it WORKS! My son has acne and his skin is clearing, tone is evening out and the acne scars are fading. We started every 3rd day and now it's every other day. Neither one of us have had the dryness, flaking, redness, etc. from using a retinoid. I had used retinol for years before starting Differin, so my skin was used to Vitamin A. However, my son was brand new and I was concerned. Thankfully, following these instructions have helped us both transition to Differin and get great results.

After 4 weeks I added glycolic acid and Vitamin C back to my routine. I have used Serious Skincare Vitamin A, C and Glycolic products for over a decade. So, I was fairly confident that I wouldn't have a reaction, and I didn't. For the nights I use Differin I use Cerave Moisturizing Cleanser & Cerave Moisturizing Cream. I keep it basic and it is working. Thanks for sharing this info because it has helped us a lot - especially our teenage son :)

I literally commit to my differin journey for anti aging today. I've played with the ordinary retinol in the past and it never irritated my skin. I'm marking this here for myself lol. The moisturizer I'm using is actually La Roche Posay Eczema Cream it's so good XD

You've always had top notch content, but something about the production quality of this vid seems so much better than previous vids. Idk if you've changed anything about your editing, but I love the cutaways, sound quality, and image quality of this vid!

Included the differin gel a few months ago after watching this video and my skin made a huge turn around .

The key differences between the two are their molecular size and stability. Sodium hyaluronate has a smaller molecular weight than hyaluronic acid, penetrating even deeper than HA can. Great, both my heavy cream and face wash has hyaluronate, I love this cream for my face, it's the one that doesn't cause irritation :( I'm glad I saw this video before starting Adapalene.

I love adapalene. I haven't had acne for 20 years, but I just started using this product for anti-aging (or more importantly for slowing the signs of aging). After I knew I could easily tolerate Differin, I went on to Retin-A 0.025, then 0.05%, which I will use for 1 year to get my skin to the level I want it to be, and then I will go back to the Differin to maintain the results. I wish I would have started this at least 20 years ago. My skin looks good (because I have consistently used sunsreen for 40 years), but this has bumped my game, and this is affordable.
