In this video we will again use the order of operations, but this time in order to isolate a variable so that we can solve an equation.
It is important to note that when reversing P-E-MD-AS to isolate the variable within an equation, operations (+, -, *, /) within parentheses must be accounted for AFTER the parentheses are no longer necessary. This occurs when the associative property can be used: (a+b)+c= a+(b+c).
