there is a simpler way to solve this
3x-7=5x+4
do the operations with like terms by changing position from =
-7-4=5x-3x
simply solve it
-11=2x
x=-11/2
note: in case somebody doesnt know that signs change when we shift terms from
=
like( -) will change into(+)
and( *) changes into /
