Dude, this is gold. I had NO idea about this and I've been deep diving into input lag/pc optimization for a couple of years now... Thank you!

Xilly bro thank you so mutch man, i was strogelling with input delay on my controller for so long. This really fixed it. Togheter with the overclock is so smooth and responsive now, thanks.

Im into no-bs PC optimization for almost a decade now and just found out about this in my motherboard manual. Instantly connected my mouse and keyboard to my cpu-usbports hehe

u can connect it to the front usb port it's not even a 1 ms difference, it's the same as directly in the motherboard

Thanks for shareing this video.
I use one black port from the cpu to to connecting a mouse and use a ps/2 for keyboard.
Just make sure not ruted anything thru the chipset and go to disable and disconect the sata devices and remove the sata controller from the device managger
I selected this two input devices by it generating realy low jitter when turn around and can be test it with left/right arrows keys pressed and try to sweep with the mouse at same time same speed but opposite directions.
If u have got any issue with inputs timeing it geting blured or shakey or may not geting cancel them easily.
If u had a good jitter free setup u need to often reinsert the tinned or not gold/gold connectors to keep the contacts clean or the performance ramping down by time.

When you’re plugged in to the chipset usb ports, what does the mouse feel like?
Also, have you compared the feeling to an Intel board, if so how did that feel compared to cpu usb ports on AMD. Thanks!

does intel even have CPU usb ports? pretty sure only ryzen has those, im using 9700k on a z390 mobo and i dont think i have that kind of port

Any impact on lag having both mouse + controller in the same usb hub (CPU)?

It seems I only have two USB composite ports (non-generic ports), so currently I have my keyboard and mouse plugged into those. My headset is under generic, is that a bad thing?

For Asus ROG strix B550-F Gaming motherboards, the cpu (blue) ports come overclocked already at 1.5ms (when tested using a ps4 controller) compared to the normal 3.5ms. Is that supposed to happen?

The color of the port does matter. Blue ports have lower latency, because it is a modern USB chipset of only 30 microseconds, whereas the black ports which are USB 2.0 chipsets have more than 4 times the latency compared to the USB 3.0 of 130 microseconds.

intel new gen have only motherboard cheapset they removed chipset from cpu does this men new intel have input lag problem on games as motherboard chipset is used for usb ports?

This is a cool video, but doesn't help with intel at all. They just have one usb 3.0 hub. Nothing separate for the cpu. sad. Does anyone know which usbs to use for an intel MOBO?

bro xilly a quuestion, iam an intel user and i already tried all the ports, all of them go to Generic usb, what can i do? ty

Far easier to just check your motherboards manual to check which USB ports connect to the chipset and which ones connect directly to the processor. Most have either diagrams or say it directly.

Yo Xilly, Question...how would a powered usb hub or docking station factor into the equation? obiously it depends on the quality of the hub, but is there anysort of criteria that would make the USB hub more preferrable than any of the motherboard ports? Might be a dumb question but since the hub can power itself separately, that's gotta factor in somewhere when it comes to speed and stuff am I right or no?
