I can't say that it was a great surprise to me! Most of Russia's troops are young inexperienced conscripts and many of Ukraine's troops have learned new tactics and has access to much more modern weapons. It has become a nightmare for Putin and I feel very sorry for all those Russian conscripts. And indeed their families.
