Odesa's Civilians Train To Fight Russian Invaders In Ukraine

Civilians in Ukraine's southern port city of Odesa are getting a crash course in firing assault rifles as they prepare to defend the city against Russian military forces possibly heading their way.

All of my wife's family is in Odessa, including our 14 month old granddaughter. I don't think they'll be evacuating because the women won't leave without the men and men between the ages of 18-60 are forbidden to leave the country. One day at a time.

Interesting to see this considering that this had historically been a pro Russian city. When the anti Russian protest of 2013 and 2014 happened Odessa was one of several regions and cities in Ukraine where its citizens made pro Russian counter protests.
Quite incredible to see how much things can change.
