I doubt many will read this, but EVH's death has hit me in a way I never expected. I was never a massive Van Halen fan but as a guitarist he was my main inspiration.

People are asking in regards to Eddie's passing, "Where does all that talent go?" At which point I cite the First Law of Thermodynamics: Energy cannot be created nor lost, only transferred. Talent is the same. All that enery and talent Eddie had? It was not lost. It was bestowed upon the millions, hell, tens of millions of young guitarist like myself. The very day you touch a guitar with a smile on your face, you become part Eddie. The talent is all still there, and it'd be rude of you to throw your share away. So everyone with a guitar, go play, laugh, and have some fun like Eddie.



And to you Eddie, thank you so much for everything you not only gave to rock, or the guitar, or the keyboard, but to fuckin' music man. In the hotel of heaven, you and Mozart share the same room. Oh, it's getting late, so I have to go. I love you Eddie, I really do. Rest easy man. . . 😔

I had a feeling you were going to do a tribute to Eddie Van Halen. This far surpassed my expectations as this is the most creative tribute I've seen yet! I love that the Black Metal followed the Children's Theme...perfect! I loved all the different styles and they were all completely different. R.I.P. Eddie...first song I ever heard was Eruption into You Really Got Me and I was blown away. To this day it's my favorite. Thank you Steve! (I've already watched 3 times!)

I still cannot fathom that he is gone. So many hours of guitar mastery gone in a blink of an eye. Sure there are recordings, but just the fact that not a single note will ever be played by him again makes me incredibly empty.
