I have the 7 Pro. There wasn't enough difference for me to get excited this year. The trade in deal this year wasn't that impressive as well so I'm just sticking with my 7pro and waiting for android 14 to hit.

For the best price to value ratio, I believe the regular Pixel 8 will be the much better value especially with the pre order trade in values. You could potentially get a phone that’ll have the same upgrades with 7 years of support for half price. Every year the pro models always get all of the attention because people freakishly obsess on cameras. But I absolutely don’t care about camera gimmicks or silly features. And I also think 6.1” is the perfect screen size for a phone. I am not a fan of bigger and heavier phones.

I'm waiting for my 8 pro to be delivered. It will be my first pixel phone my last phone being a Sony Xperia 5iii ( I don't upgrade often).
I've always liked the idea of Pixel phones however I kind do think they have brought the price up to a point where it needs to be top notch. The 8 is still a bargain in my opinion but the Pro is not really the bargain the pixel phones used to be but I wanted to go all in on my first one.

I think I'll pass. I don't really use the camera much so camera improvements doesn't do anything for me. Maybe in the future when my pixel 6 pro battery life is really bad and I'm forced to upgrade. Still kind of sucks Google hasn't done anything to improve the super slow charging compared to the competition.
