I tried to prove these properties by substituting values with numbers,
but I found it takes a lot of time since there are additions and multiplications

If you multiply an identity matrix of dimension n (i.e. nXn) with a matrix "A" of dimension nXm, it will still give back A, as long as there are n rows in A. Columns can vary.

You said first the A = MxN matrix and then you only used 1 x n?
