WTF is Beats Music?

In this video, we check out the brand new Beats Music service for iPhone (iOS) and Android. Beats Music will be going head to head with the likes of Rdio and Spotify in what's starting to become a crowded music streaming market. I think I'm the only one I know that doesn't use typical "streaming" music service. I prefer to use Google Play with my own library of music just cus I have a really obscure taste in music.

I'm giving it a try. I'm a spotify user and I love the service but I've always felt there's something missing. Most of the time I'd like to discover music rather than to search for it. I'd love for Spotify to have a "My Library" feature that would allow you to add artists, albums or tracks to it for later listening instead of tons and tons of playlists. If Beats' curated service is as good as they say I might switch over.

I use Spotify currently and am very happy with it. Only reason I would ever switch is if there was something with an equivalent song library offered at a significantly lower price. Even then I'd be hard pressed to switch since I like the way the Spotify app and Desktop program look and how they sync so nicely together. It's a seamless transition that I just can't imagine someone could do better. I should really try out the Google play all access though. That looks promising

You didn't say anything about the subscription costs of this service. I use Pandora. They have an ad version which costs nothing and an ad-free version which they charge for (I don't know what they charge).

It's anyone's game here in Canada. The only service we have is Rdio and Songza if you want to consider that also.

i used PANDORA a long time ago, hated it. when i heard BEATS was going to have there own service i was pretty hyped about it considering im a huge beats fan(currently own the executives, Urbeats & beats pill). i had the free trial and i liked the interface, its ALOT different from your other music services. so i might subscribe to BM for when i get tired of listening to my music on my phone

I use Spotify and have done for quite some time.
Really happy with the range of music they have, would never even consider switching.

I already use spotify for my music. I've really gotten into it in recent years and have become so engrossed in it that It would be hard to take me away. Though I think it could do a lot better at getting in house music adds. The biggest thing about these services is can they continue to push their users to experience new music. Develop tastes for indie, rap, hip hop etc.

I use spotify a lot when I'm on my computer because of the opportunity to choose what you want to listen to without paying a fee, but when I'm using my phone to listen to music that's not in my library, Beats Music is now my favorite app to use. It's way customizable to your liking and so far I'm liking it.
