How to be socially intelligent at work

Ever wondered how you can be socially intelligent at work? Well I am no expert but I have learnt some valuable skills over the years. 12 years in construction and some of these methods have helped me create meaningful and good working relationships with people from all walks of life. Hopefully something in the video might help you weather you work in construction or not.

Many, many.... many... books have been written on the topic. Communication is key. And business is nothing more than managing relationships.
As a heads up, guys in the field usually have very strong egos and the "uneducated" workforce tends to have some degree of animosity towards the "educated" counterparts. There are a lot of egos floating around in construction regardless of which end of the spectrum you fall on. If you don't know where to start, just be humble and polite. They'll respect you more if you can throw down though in a playful way.

This is an awesome channel.. I've worked in the construction industry for 5 years. Predominantly in labouring before I got on the tools as a roofer, then a "site manager" on tiny reactive roofing projects so I had the title but literally only man management skills.
It's so vital that videos like this are seen as people with intellect and social skills that I've met over the years are the ones I've clicked best with and has made work such a pleasant experience.

I'm hoping to have my real site manager role in the next 2 years. I'm just daunted by the thought of things like staying within budget etc.
