it also took all four chaos gods and being basically smack in the middle of the warp because lets be honest the vengeful spirit was basically a mini warp tear at this point. to even be able to do that or else we would have the ones in the palace trying to kill big e every 5mins

There's also the trials to become a shadowkeeper - one of them is to literally sit in the same room with a Herald of Nurgle and be unaffected

Shout out to the Chaos demon who attended the Council of Nikaea and was able to controll a Custodis by learning his *full* name.

Short answer: no. Long answer: yes, but considering it takes one of the most powerful daemons being shoved into them or (if Valdor has gotten corrupted, since he might be the yellow king.) them reading daemons’ minds and absorbing their secrets for centuries. It isn’t practically likely or doable.

Secondary unit that I like. First is the legions of the damned space marines, cuz of how mysterious and awesome they are. Incorruptible and disappears like my father.

Its kind of like asking if grabing someones fist and thrusting them into their face while saying "stop hitting yourself" counts as convincing them to do it. Custodes are not omnipotent. their control over their body can be overcome by the most powerfull demons around. although this doesn't mean they have changed their alliegence or have been corrupted

When I first heard about how chaos was able to control the custodians and force them to attack the Emperor, I came up with a theory that the same thing happens to Sanguinius. Standing before Horus (who is host to the pantheon itself at this time), his perception is warped so that he sees the Emperor as Horus. Big E sustains such mortal wounds because he cannot bear to kill Sanguinius, but in the end (either by a force will by San or Big E deciding it’s the only way), Sanguinious ends up dying. I think that this could also nicely lead to the origin of the Black Rage.

This is exactly why one can argue that the Custodes were designed to be deployed side by side with the Sisters of Silence.

The Custodes can kill anything in the Materium and the Sisters of Silence can counter all Warp phenomena. Together they are unbeatable.
