Just wanted to say a couple things here! FIRST I know I misred the archeops fact! more below. I made this fact video as a spiritual successor to the first Pokémon fact video I made back in august! (similar thumbnail and ending subject matter and tones through out) To really cement this series to this channel! if you missed my community post, Ive now committed to WEEKLY uploads! This is a big step for my work ethic and this channel as a whole, and I appreciate every so much for being on this journey with me! Here's to 100K and beyond this year! P.S I know I messed up with the archeops base stat total fact I literally have no idea how that slid through i proof watched this vid so many times lmao i always miss something sorry about that everyone!

3:56 That is actually 567, not 576, but the fact is still correct as Archeops is in fact number 567 in the Pokédex!
I make mistakes with numbers all the time so don’t worry

I’ve always secretly hoped that the Pokémon plushies would have a random chance of being shiny like the games. I figured that from a production standpoint that’d be easier said than done but it has always felt like a missed opportunity

7:50 The Level 50 Magikarp is a reference to Team Rocketʼs radio waves which causes some Magikarp to grow much faster (this is also the reason why the red Gyarados exists).

Funny enough, I was actually the little kid on the Battle Dome play set way back in the day and can confirm that the shiny Kingdra was apart of the original concept. The battle dome you showed was very similar to the one I used when shooting the pictures but they took off some of the parts for different photos. To be honest (as a HUGE Pokemon fan growing up) I did notice the “discolored” Kingdra but most of the toys/props they used were cheaply made as they were cropping most of them out or photo editing something else in (an example being that the cannon I am “holding” on the box was actually not there I had to pretend I was holding it for hours hahaha). They just used the toys as references so I am guessing that they just did not care if they were accurate or not. Still cool to see that a toy I modeled for is in your video hahaha

I thought the 95 accuracy meant that the move had a small chance of missing completely before becoming the move based on the environment you're in

3:23 If you take the average accuracy of all the possible moves nature power can take on (take Swift as 100%) then it comes to 93.33 ish. So rounded to the nearest 5 it would be 95 accuracy.

I found that Mr Briney encounter randomly on a stream and was really impressed they accounted for a situation like that

You can probably also activate the Mr. Briney's house rival encounter by catching a Ralts and raising it until it learns Teleport if you don't want to black out. There's also another interesting trick you can do involving Teleport in the early game. If you bring something with Teleport with you to the Rustburo gym battle, you can Teleport as soon as you win the battle and exit the gym. This skips the trigger which starts the Team Aqua event at Rusturf Tunnel, so it doesn't activate until you walk into the zone it'd normally trigger.

I actually triggered the Arceus event when I was a kid completely unknowingly.

I had an action replay at the time, and had used it to do the Arceus event in Pearl cause I saw people on YouTube do it, and wanted to experience it myself. I eventually transferred this Arceus to my first Soul Silver playthrough. I came across it by accident having not seen anything about it. I remember being really weirded out by the whole thing and not really knowing what to think. I was hyped when I got the egg though lol.

I actually got that special encounter with May in my first playthrough as a kid! I thought it was totally normal, and my second playthrough really threw me for a loop!

Charizard being weak to ice actually lead to me believing for YEARS that fire and ice were both super effective against each other. Eventually I believed that his was either specific to gen 1 or something I made up entirely as a dumb kid. Thinking about it a few months back I finally pieced together that I misattributed the weakness to fire as a whole because Charizard would be my sole fire type, and I often forgot he was part flying. It absolutely blew my mind.

I have a shiny Tyrogue figure! I had no idea it was shiny, I thought it was just weirdly colored since some early Pokemon merch is sometimes just weird and never thought to look it up that's wild

3:59 Archeops' dex number is actually a reference to the Dewey decimal section on feathered dinosaurs in libraries.

I pre-ordered the Japanese version of Soul Silver, and had negotiated a trade with a random YouTuber who had 8 legitimate Movie Arceus he obtained from trading on a JP forum with Google Translate, which I gave some shiny stuff for 2 of them, as well as the Shiny Movie Pichu that unlocked the spiky ear Pichu, and got to do both those in game events. The awesome thing is, the JP Pokemon unlock the events in other region's copies of the game, so I got to trade them around to my friends when the English version came out and let them do the events.

Fun fact about the SInjoh Ruins - the symbol that you see on the ground where Arceus can cry at the sky is also the same one on the floor in the Arceus boss fight in Legends Arceus. I don't believe this appears anywhere else in the series.

When I was little, I had a pokemon battle dome playset. They were extremely flimsy and broke apart easily. While it didn't come with a shiny kingra, mine did come with a shiny piplup. (Or at least it was off-colored enough to look shiny_

2:25 It's been awhile since I had Pokemon Ranch so I could be wrong but I used to use it all the time, trying to trigger events and get Hayley's special Pokemon (especially that nifty Mew 👀). One event I remember is if you transfered a certain number of Water type Pokemon you could make them all ride a giant wave across the ranch. Another one that can be unlocked happens when you transfered a certain amount of Flying types you could make them fly in a huge V-shape! There's others I can't recall enough to describe though, I'm 80% certain there's a stampede one with Tauros and Miltanks (Maybe Normal types?) and a Psychic type one akin to the ones above where they all float. As well as a lot of Pokemon specific ones, there's Gardevoir one I think? Anyway! Pretty neat! I feel special knowing I've seen them haha!

I actually had the battle dome as a kid. It's in storage right now at my grandmother's but man seeing that unlocked some memories. It had little trap doors on each level and I even had a couple of the attachable tiles that snapped to the bottom legs. It was super low quality though. Even brand new It wobbled constantly. Still a cool set though
