Vaporeon in Yellow is coded to learn both Mist and Haze at the same level. However due to the way the game is coded, a Pokémon cannot learn two moves at once because of this, it can't learn Mist. There is a way around this, train the Vaporeon in the day care south of Cerulean City and it can learn both Mist and Haze.

My hours of checking the trivia on Bulbapedia have paid off.

I don't have twitter but:
In Emerald, if you beat the 7th gym, then trade over a pokemon with Dive before getting the HM from Steven, you can go to the underwater Aqua base early, and there is a special Aqua Grunt NPC there who blocks your way and hints that you should go back to the Mossdeep Space Center to do the part of the story you tried to skip.
Found it by accident on my own because I traded over my HM slaves when replaying.

TM62 was changed to Bug Buzz because, back in DPP, it was Silver Wind, but Silver Wind doesn't exist in Gen 8, so they gave it to Bug Buzz

I knew about the Gogoat fact! I remember seeing it in the trailer and making a mental note *not* to hunt it because it looked bad, and for the longest time after release I didn’t realize it had a different (and much better) shiny!

Actually, Dewgong isn’t an original name. It’s based on a dugong.

One fact I know of that's easy to miss is that there's an error with how Wonder Guard and Fire Fang interact in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. If you generate a Spiritomb or Sableye with Wonder Guard, they should be impossible to attack directly. However, for some reason, Fire Fang is the only attack in the game that can still connect despite NOT being a weakness.

Isn't a dugong an animal too? Pretty sure Dewgong is also just an intentional misspelling like Seel.

The Renegade Platinum thing is likely a coincidence. I *heavily* doubt Nintendo would ever reference a fangame, considering their track record.

That Gogoat bit is just WILD
Makes me curious how many people never hunted Gogoat because it looked lackluster in the trailer, when it’s actually really FREAKING COOL

Magearna actually had its shiny changed, in gen seven its shiny was LITERALLY identical to its regular form, but now it gets a more silver color in its shiny.

The bag changing based on what outfit you’re wearing in BDSP is pretty cool. Did you also notice that it changes if you’re riding your bike?

What's especially weird about Tri-Attack's effect is that it didn't exist in gen 1. Tri-Attack was just a moderate-power normal move with no secondary effect until gen 2, which introduced the BrnFrzPrz effect, thawing and all.

Side note on the mud/bait mechanic at 5:30. Almost every online source has the effects of mud and bait the wrong way round, despite an NPC in the Marsh correctly describing it as mud making a Pokémon easier to catch but more likely to flee, and the inverse for bait.

Obscure fact for you - the old cartridges used to come with little handbooks detailing controls and such.
Those included with gen 3 i.e ruby had a braille - to - plaintext map to help you solve the Regis puzzles!
Hints for in game secrets hidden in the handbook is probably not well known :)

Around 14 years ago i actually encoutered a freaking shiny Whiscash in the Safari Zone in Pearl. I ended up catching it but my 8 Year old heart almost didn't make it. Today i learned that it does not flee :D

I really love this series, dude. Like, genuinely. Whenever you put up a new video about this I get so excited because after being in this fandom for twenty years, I STILL get to learn new things thanks to you! And I think that’s wonderful. I’ve shown this to my friend and it’s gotten to the point where when we watch one of your videos, we respond to your little “did you know Common thing?” and get so excited when you say “Good, here’s something you DON’T know!” Because then we’re all like “:O oh my gosh, a new thing!” Please know your fact-hunting does not go unnoticed. It’s super appreciated. Thank you for taking the time and effort to find this information for us and share it so the fandom can feel like we’ve all discovered Mew under the truck again. Your positive energy and genuine interest in this is contagious in the best way!

Has anyone noticed how many times Gligar and it’s shiny have swapped with each other?

That Gogoat looks nearly identical to non-shiny Gogoat, so I'd assume it was a beta pallet for the non-shiny, maybe even just weird lighting. The sparkles are part of the trade animation if I'm not mistaken, not the shiny sparkle.

In Generation 4, TM 62 was Silver Wind, but Silver Wind was deprecated in Gen 8. Instead of re-adding it, they replaced with a similar (special bug-type) move which wasn't a TM (Bug Buzz was previously only TR 61 in SwSh, and never a TM in previous generations).

Dewgong is currently named after the dugong, the closest living relative to manatees (which the pokemon resembles a lot more), so equally original as Seel is based on "seal" and Manaty is based on "manatee."

One cool fact is that back in late April of 2009, there was a secret key distribution for Rotom in Diamond/Pearl, which certain stores were given special DS catridges to distribute them. Once the event was over, they were supposed to return them to Nintendo, but some of the catridges weren’t returned and those left over catridges can be found on places such as eBay now

I think it'd be cool if the lightning rod ability gave a chance for random people to accidentally call you on the PokeNav
