I have learned more with 4 videos on here in the last 2 weeks than the whole time I had my first guitar 20 years ago, which I had for a few years till I just gave up and sold it. now I am on my new guitar at the age of 45 and getting so much from your videos, that keeps me going now, even a bit of confidence that I can do this which I have never really had before.

My substitute instructor was going over music theory with me at last weeks lesson and although I understood what he was saying it was over my head. So in trying to put it into practice it made no sense...this video just cleared it up for me...Thank you!

Got it! Excellent! Gary “Biscuit” Davis played the banjo in Dolly Parton’s band. He showed me this last year when I met him in pigeon Forge, TN. I kind of understood him. And he is an excellent banjo player. But you did an outstanding job and now I really understand it! Thanks!

Thanks so much for this. I intuitively “get” the piano, but I want to play guitar! This is the first time I’ve understood how piano translates to guitar. I’m just staring your other videos. You’re a great teacher.

One again a brilliant guitar lesson. I learned something new. Also, in Catholic School I (and the rest of the class) had to sing Doe, a deer, a female deer to an audience. Brings back a memory I have tried to forget. I really enjoy your lessons. :)

So, correct me if I'm wrong, the definition of a "major scale" would be: the progression of musical notes following the precise pattern of steps within the formula, w-w-h-w-w-w-h. (?) As I would assume the definition of a "minor scale" would be: the progression of musical notes following the precise pattern of steps within the formula, (insert formula here), and perhaps the same definition applies to all other scales, with each it's own formula?
