Those surface nodes are easy to spot... but I thought there were large ore veins underground... as in, much, MUCH more iron than you would get from one of those surface rocks. Hundreds of times more. The real question is whether there's anyway to find *those*!

Thank you for that, I stopped playing after Alpha 16 as I was sad about digging zombies. I've come back n finally given it a go and it really isn't that bad having a base setup in a decent POI. I always go to another POI for horde night n let them destroy some random house I don't care about haha.

When I see a decent bunching of ores I'll mark them on my map. Marking things on my map has been incredible useful in general
