I suffered with swollen feet and legs for years. Once I changed my way of eating and cut out all processed foods, sugars, and bad carbs all my swelling disappeared. Bad oils sugars and bad carbs was what caused my swelling. Over a year later since I changed my eating habits I have had zero swelling.

I am 59, and I have had this issue for half my life. I get leg, ankle, and feet swelling if I sit too long. If I have shoes on, the swelling will be less. If I get up and move around or if I go to bed it will subside. It's worse if I take in too much salt. If I reduce my salt, the swelling is less. My Grandfather and his sister both had the same problem. Both had salt intake problems.

Hi. I’m a 62 yo female who is very overweight. I had vertigo 3 years ago for 6 months and became sedentary.
I also have osteoarthritis in my feet therefore very painful to walk. I use to swim but have anxiety from the vertigo. I always worry about my feet and ankles. They say it’s from my antidepressant and other meds.
Keep posting. It motivates me.

Once I went carnivore my feet went from a size 11 to size 10. The food to include sugars and carbohydrates swell your feet terribly and for years. I can fit in a 9 1/2 in some instances of shoes.

I have had leg/foot swelling every since I had a car wreck in 1985. In fact right now I'm dealing with swollen leg/foot problems on my right side (which I have called my good leg for the past 37yrs.) at this time. It is so frigging painful bcause it not only hurts but burns and gets stabbing pains in it. I have kind of had to learn with these problems on my left leg/foot b side of my injuries from the wreck but now my good leg is being a pain too. Thank you for putting these videos out. 🙏💛🙏

Nice job covering this topic. I have an Atypical Neurodegenerative Brain Disease. During the years that they labeled me as Early Onset Parkinsons - a trial of Amantadine made my feet and legs swell. Whenever I'm on my feet too long, my feet swell: I definitely alternate Rest with Exercise and Pacing myself is best medicine for me. My neurologists agree. FYI: funny, for some reason my Guide/ Mobility tasks dog likes watching you guys, too. Thanks Heaps for your work here.

Really enjoy watching/listening to both of you. Very informative as well as humorous.
And also want to say a huge thanks for giving my husband back his enjoyment of life. 11 or so years ago Dr Weening replaced both knee in the one year. He golfs every day and no longer minds walking around shopping. Lol
You are a lifesaver.

My feet and ankles were SO big one morning upon waking up I couldn’t walk. Then I took my Blood Pressure 247/155 😳 I called 911. I was in full Heart Failure. I had run out of my BP medication and just didn’t get it refilled. This nearly cost me my life! If I had not gotten to the ER within a couple hours, I’d be dead. The Doctor was harsh with me and I deserved it! I knew there was compassion under that anger. I’ll never not take my Blood Pressure medication again!
If your feet double in size GET TO THE ER! Let a DOCTOR tell you what it is, do not get online! That foolish decision can kill you!

Thanks for this helpful video! I can add another (probably minor) cause of swollen feet. My left foot swelled a week after a cardiology appointment where my feet and ankles were found to have no fluid accumulation. So I knew I didn’t have heart failure; but, worried about deep vein thrombosis, I went to enmergency. An ultrasound revealed a Baker cyst behind my arthritic left knee. It had drained, making fluid flow to the foot. But it soon dissipated, leaving my foot a normal size and shape!

Thank you for covering this topic! I got very sick last year and it ended up damaging my heart. I gained up to 20 lbs of water weight before they could figure out what was wrong...and I had a host of other symptoms. I have been on medication for 7 months and my labs are finally normal ❤ I do still struggle with swelling tho. I have realized how sensitive I have become to salt. If I accidentally eat something that must have a high salt content I get a splitting headache within 15 minutes of eating it, swell, and feel absolutely horrible for the next day or so until I can flush it all out of my system. I love watching your videos! I would be interested in a living with heart conditions video. I have had very little guidance on what to do/ what to expect/how to handle the symptoms after a heart diagnosis. I look forward to the next video. Thank you!❤
