After a 30 year marriage, am so happy that I was able to look at him when he raged and stay objective, give him no visible reaction, forgive myself for engaging in toxic exchanges( for even when you are in the same room saying nothing to them you are engaging in a toxic exchange) and smile at him when he insulted me so that in the end there was nothing for him to fight with and that gave HIM no satisfaction or closure. Thank you for all your work Mr. Grannon. Am looking forward to my upcoming life living with the new genuine, candid, serene person I know I can be.🙂💚

My ex group of narcissists did some horrible reactive psychological and verbal abuse on me with humilliation, smear campaign, gaslighting when the relationship was ending to try to make me snap and get into legal stuff. "Luckily", instead of snapping in uncontrollable anger I got in a mental state of feeling blocked and later broke down crying in tears and got some hypertension. These people are true demons.

This is so true. My wife seems to always be able to end a disagreement with "well... You always end up doing what you want to do..." it seemed to always dig so deep to my core, with the ability to challenge who I was in the relationship and what I brought to the "partnership." Now I realize that all she wanted in a partner was someone who followed and obeyed her commands. I can now hold my head up high and say "yes, I am going to do what I want to do, and that's ok"

After 24 yrs of being with a narcissist, when I left, he was shocked AF that I left. I did everything I could to keep my cool and not let his threats and tantrums shortly after affect me emotionally.
I had to unpack within A LOT of anger and hurt I kept bottled inside and retrain my brain over the last three years.
