That's absolutely correct... I had a breakup and I had a gut feeling of taking revenge... I was so self destructive, I didn't study, eat a lot of junk and masturbating like 3 times a day...
I was crying and crying and my feeling for revenge was getting even worse. Somedays back I just couldn't handle myself and I opened up with a stranger In a bus...
I couldn't controlled myself and I said all the things I was feeling and about all the plans I made for the revenge.

And I am glad I did that... We had a heart out conversation for a long time and he told me about everything and his story... That just changed my whole perspective and I realised How I played the victim role...

Sometimes I still feel very down and cry.... But I remember everything that "This sad feeling is temporary"...
I just say this to myself "Everything happens for good... "

You giving Jordan Peterson credit shows you have integrity...that's rare and is another reason you are successful. Great video.

terrific video. Edmund Bergler writes about this self sabotage, which he calls "Psychic Masochism", which suggests that deep, deep down inside all humans is a desire to feel bad, sad and sorry for ourselves. It starts as babies. It's not only part of our psyche, but our BIOLOGY! Scary, but great that we can recognize it; recognition is where change begins.

I never knew that feeling sorry for yourself releases dopamine.

You really are one of the most underrated you tubers out here. Love the quote you say at the end, it's one of my favourites and always gives me that little bit more motivation. Great vid!

Great video, thanks! I have been on a bit of a journey myself, realising that it's my own self-sabotaging behaviour that has me stagnated. I realised a while ago that essentially my self-sabotaging behaviour was all about seeking pleasure in that moment—basically while I was wallowing in my dissatisfaction with life. That's when I searched 'dopamine and self-sabotaging' and found your vid! Love it, thanks

This video has helped me a lot since I’ve been suffering from a victim mindset all my life. I have been in the cold approach/day game journey, and whenever I have bad interactions or rejections, I start to self sabotage myself and my anxiety gets worse.
Thanks BOB!

Bro I actually love your speaking style + humour. I've found myself speaking like you in stupid situations but then it's a little dopamine spike of motivation so it's no bad!
