All deleted scenes from Meet the Robinsons

Did you know that Meet the Robinsons has many deleted scenes that totally change the movie? There's one where Lewis meets his mother, and it's very different from what we saw in the film. The same goes for the final shot with Bowler Hat Guy. And besides these, there are a bunch of other significant changes. I was pretty surprised when I saw some of them. They're super interesting and add a whole new layer to the movie. So, let's dive right in.

For me, I prefer where Lewis chooses not to meet his mother because after living in the future, he realizes the past is behind him, and the message of the movie is "Keep moving forward."

I think I understand WHY they didn't make older Goob wake his younger self up instead of Lewis.
It's because the moment that the younger Goob is woken up and helps them win the game, the older, decrepit Goob would...disappear. All that he learns, and all the change he gets, it's just gone, because there'll be a different, better Goob in the future who's not bent on revenge.

However, it would've been a nice and sad scene for old Goob to wake up young Goob, and Lewis being next to him happy, just to realize old Goob's about to disappear, and old Goob just goes like "You don't have to be sad, Lewis. We'll meet again, after all. All you have to do is keep moving forward.", and disappears.

Regarding the deleted scenes made the original plot a whole lot different

I believe the reason why they cut out Goob waking himself up is because there is a massive futuristic time machine sitting 10 feet in the air beside a baseball game. It looked rediculous and thus was cut to Lewis waking Goob up as it made more sense.

Bowler hat man: I really didn't think this through

Yes! It would have been better for him to be responsible for his future, but that would have made it easier and less dramatic, that’s why they decided to take it of, so he could not be fixed since childhood and still act up as a hurt and traumatized person.

I prefer the original ending with bowler hat guy fixing his own future and he never has to learn Dorris would have betrayed him.

If you wondering why Wilbur's voice sound different in the deleted scenes it was because his VA voice hadn't changed yet. By the time the movie was complete, his voice has changed into what we hear now.

Supposedly theres a theory that the wedding scene with Lewis's adoptive mom. That the brides maids were the lady who ran the orphanage and lewis's birth mother.

Bowler Hat Guy (grown-up Goob) is pathetic and hilarious in thinking he could destroy Robinson Industries with just eggs and toilet paper. Did he really think he could "wipe out" Lewis/Cornelius?

I actually think it's good they changed that scene with Bowler Hat Man, because the message of the movie is keep moving forward and it's contradictory that his solution would've been going backwards, plus Lewis needed to see how his actions affected Goob, him falling asleep wasn't something he did because of his own actions but Lewis', what was Goob's fault was the way he reacted and behaved after that, if maybe Bowler Hat man talked to himself and told him the opposite of what he told Goob at the start of the movie and said something like "you need to let this go, you are more than that failure, revenge won't give you anything" I could see it as him controlling his own future

TBH, I prefer the deleted scene about Bowler Hat Guy wake himself up better.
(It's a closure to him, and enforce the main concept of "keep moving he finally moved on from all this years of bitterness before being erased by the world..
In the final version of the movie we got, even though Michael from the "fixed" timeline got his happy Bowler Hat Guy from "original" timeline didn't.
Behind the camera, he was left confused and unsure about his life from that point forward, until his existent became erased by the universe and snap into the "happier" Michael from the "fixed" timeline, with no memories about being the Bowler Hat Guy, therefore the OG him never got the closure he deserve.)
