There's a huge learning curve in the nfs. Im struggling so hard just to come in 3rd . Even if I drift a turn perfectly the ai just speed by and gets way ahead.

Even a year later this guid still helps, I’ve never played a car game until nfs unbound and I’m loving it

Burst NOS is seriously the most brilliant mechanic I never knew we needed, especially with drafting. There isn't as much rubber-banding in this game and my best guess is that we can get a boost through drafting now. I love it.

Thank you Trigger, just got into NFS Unbound with the current sale of $20 at PS5. Very informative.

I don’t know if I got this from you or not, but you can use the handling slider to change car classes when you have a car class tuned to the very top of a class. Really good early game when you don’t have a dedicated car for each class.

Awesome guide! I noticed sometimes I got grip turn bonus as well but was not sure how. Since initially I thought for corners, only drifting gave the reward, I was happy to see grip turn bonuses was a thing.

One thing that might help beginners, most with unstable cars like the old school 911 is to lower steering sensibility´, put downforce on maximum and focus on buying tires/suspension/differential focused on grip (dont forget to put the slider to grip, 60/70% is enough)

My issue is that I'm used to sim games. I don't mind arcade racers, I'm just not good at them.

I'm used to slow in, fast out, managing throttle through turns, not putting too much load on tired and disrupting balance, etc. It's a delicate balance.

In nfs, it's just balls to the wall. I feel like I don't really need to brake, but my brain is telling me when I see a turn

I personally found that for the lower classes in unbound, i have the drift setting as brake or gas and when taking a corner i tap both in quick succession and i take most corners really well (other times i steer at too much of an angle). I haven't got around to using s and s+ cars yet so i watch videos like this to gain sone prior knowledge... your tips are great trigger and i definitely enjoy learning more and more about the game

I’ve played and beat every previous need for speed and this one is by far the hardest and just frustrating beyond belief

This is the best need for speed game I've played in a long time definitely worth buying and playing the sense of speed is incredible in this game

The game came out free on ps plus a few days ago so even today this is very helpful, thanks!
As someone who comes from more simulation racing games and considerably experienced in my opinion winning races on max difficulty and winning most online races in games like Asseta Corsa and Gt6 and Gt7. so I would think I am ok a driving but even the easiest difficulty of Need for speed unbound had me never even reach the top 5 in my races. so hopefully these tips will help me

Thank you dude, the game really makes you try to understand it if you wanna play tho, its not like sit and play, it's more like learning to drive and play,

I did a review of this game going over almost all the mechanics you went over in this video. But you explained things much cleaner so thank you for this ! People need to learn just how good the mechanics of this game really are. I also learned new things from this video too, i did not know grip turns refill nos more than drifts. Ima have to test it out for myself. I do hope the meta doesn't become completely grip though as drifitng is way more fun to me in the A tier races lol. I dont mind if grip dominates the high speed races though it makes sense. My car spins out so easy on those tracks without grip lol

Bro do a video on the cop chases they are insane. It’s not so much that it’s impossible to lose them. It’s just so hard to keep them gone. And the way the AI behaves is insane. Like helicopters will just sit over you waiting on you to come out even though you “got away” sure that’s kinda more realistic. But I mean it’s a game and we want to have fun lol.

So I hope they do a update giving more options for dealing with police. Like purist breakers. And I hope they change the spawn rates of the cops while not in a pursuit. The roads are just to heavily patrolled and they make no effort in hiding the fact they know where you are at all times. I can look on my map and always see about 5 cops around me at any given time just waiting for me to make a mistake. And then there is surely one or two undercover cops waiting too. Which I like the idea of having the unmarked cars that would be fun to deal with if it felt normally. But it just feels like going to point a to point b to start the next race is impossible without getting extremely luck or triggering a chase. Then you end up having to lose them and next thing you know your across the map again. With them hovering breathing down you’re neck is trying to trigger another chase before you make it.
I suspect they even know when you mark a location on a map because if feels like they sit there sometimes
