Orgeat Syrup is an almond syrup that is a very common ingredient found in many cocktails, especially in Tiki Cocktails. A lot of people buy their Orgeat ready-made but it's so easy to make homemade Orgeat and I really wanted to show everyone how to make homemade orgeat syrup on their own. It is so easy and will always be as fresh as possible!
Traditional Almond Orgeat syrup is a pain to make 100% fresh and the store-bought versions are all terrible. In this video, I show you how to make an Easy Orgeat Syrup, that won't take longer than 5 minutes.

Orgeat Recipe
------
1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
2 cups sugar
3 tsp almond extract
1/2 tsp orange blossom water
1/6 cup of Cognac
Put the almond milk in a saucepan and heat it up over low heat
Whisk the sugar in until it's completely dissolved, continuing to whisk not letting the almond milk boil. Once the sugar has melted add the almond extract and orange blossom water. Turn off the heat and let cool just for a second (don't want to lose any alcohol from the cognac) and once it's cooled for a minute or two add the cognac
I've also used dark rum instead of cognac and it worked well as well.
