Have had a hero 130 for a couple years. GPS, nav lights, micro power pole, and 6hp and Torqeedo 1103c. Only negative is that is a solo vessel.

one thing... most people looking for boats under 2k (including me) would prefer used because it lowers the price. I get that normally it is better to have a new boat but we don't care enough

Just FYI. The hoodoo hero is discontinued. Whatever is out there at vendors is what's left. Not sure if they can do anything about warranty either.

I have owned a BRIS catamaran for a couple years now. I will attest to the fact that it is 'fun as hell' on the water!!! No joke. I have a Suzuki 15HP on mine. I can hit 16 MPH in it with two adults and all our gear aboard. I have pulled adults behind it on a knee board. No problem getting them up. I've had as many as three adults and a couple kids aboard. The weight rating on this boat is accurate. You could put a hippo in it, and it wouldn't drop an inch in the water. If you want to fish off it, it is very stable even with a couple adults standing up in it. No issues at all. I highly recommend the BRIS cat!

Prior to the cat, I had one of the BRIS 9.8' inflatables. If you look at square footage of usable floor space, the cat has about double the space the 'normal' dinghy-style boats have. The lack of a forward air chamber is a HUGE bonus when it comes to usable space. That's why I sold the 9.8' dinghy and bought the cat style.

Bris makes a better 12'6" inflatable and can use a 25hp. weighs 180lbs and 1675lbs capacity. mine goes 16mph with a 9.9. A treble in the inflatable isn't an issue if you have patches on board
