Christ's reaction to the Pharisee's question regarding the adulterous woman in John 8:1-11 was quite bizarre. Rather than addressing the matter at hand, he seemed to have ignored them; and when they continued to ask him, he replied by saying, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her."

Why didn't Jesus agree with the Pharisees when God is against adultery? What message was he trying to send?

Does anyone ever remember to consider the man against whom the woman committed adultery? All these analyses that ignore the betrayed partner seem insensitive and lacking substance.

Yes, there is the part that relates to disobeying God's old commandment law, but there is the vital part that concerns her trampling upon the dignity and pride of her husband.
