How Much Money Does My SELF-PUBLISHED Book Earn?

Ever wondered how much authors make if they self-publish? Today I'm showing exactly how much money my first book currently is earning, two years after it was released.

The #1 deciding factor of how well any book will do (especially a self-published book on Amazon) is how much traction it gets during it's launch. The better it does in it's first few days, the more visibility it will get, and the higher it will rank on Amazon. This means it will continue to be more visible and make more sales.

Without a strategic book launch, a self-published book will get lost in the millions of books on Amazon and never stand a chance.

My two cents- I think the best way to sell books is to first build up your following. Especially, if you really want to earn a good amount of money from sales.

I self published a book with kdp and i make between $500 and $1000 per month. Usually its around $600 or so. But i did have 2 months so far where i broke $1000.

The best thing to do to increase sales is to write the next book. You can't make money on a book that isn't out there. Last year, I sold 1400 copies of a trilogy I wrote in the early '90's. Under one name I've published 24 books, in my other name, I have 15 books plus 4 short story collections. A launch is questionable time spent. The more you have out there, the more people you catch.
