How to Duplicate a Pattern in FL Studio

Here's how to duplicate patterns in FL Studio.. this is also known as how to clone a FL Studio pattern.

When you duplicate a FL Studio pattern, you are creating an exact copy of a pattern, which you can then modify uniquely from the original pattern. This is very useful to add one or two extra notes, or go crazy and add lots of stuff off that original pattern.

You can use the keyboard shortcut SHIFT + CTRL + C to clone a pattern, or use the "Make Unique" approach from in the Playlist.

Follow my pro-tip there of using the same color, but just brighten or darken it a little bit, and it will really help it pop for you while arranging your song.

On a side note.. duplicating a drum loop pattern like this is kind of annoying for workflow later on if you want to break apart the pattern for more control of your arrangement (such as only play the hi-hat). In that case, it'd be best to first break apart the pattern, then just clone the "drum pattern" for a much faster workflow.
