if you're still looking for the shortcut its simply hold alt + click and move the object. It'll. duplicate it. Make sure the layer you're duplicating is highlighted.

When You press the Ctrl+Alt+T and left click hold an drag, it is copying fine but in my case it's not copying but dragging the same design, I also tried using alt hold left click but nothing happened

I am using cs5… .when i am making the copies the color of object is changing…. Like if the color is black it is turning into grey and the size of object and resolution is also decreasing… why is that ??

Use Shift + Ctrl + Alt on your right keyboard side then it'll happen!

Still getting new layer with each new object.
After rasterizing object I did the following:
Ctl + Alt+ T and got my new object and new layer. While the newly created object is selected, I
am pressing CTL+ SHIFT+ ALT+ T, but I am still getting new layer with each new object.
What am I doing wrong? I have photoshop CS6.
