Never Say Never Again - Pre Title Sequence + Main Titles (EON Style)

Inspired by the fanedit of Never Say Never Again by Blofeld's Cat. I've edited my own version of the PTS and Main Titles. I borrowed the new MGM logo and Gunbarrel pose as designed by David Van Houten, plus a few 'erased' shots from PSPegasus and Blofeld's Cat.

I have added some of my own 'erased' shots thanks to new Ai technology. This PTS has a new establishing shot with 007 parachuting down to the location. I have added new music by John Barry lifted from the film The Specialist (1994) and a 1972 John Barry conducted album of James Bond medleys.

Rather than re-use the textless Thunderball title sequence I've assembled a new montage using the textless end credits from For Your Eyes Only. Chroma keyed the silhouettes from Thunderball and Licence to Kill plus adding footage from Never Say Never Again (specifically shots of Connery) into the sequence. I've also colour graded the footage to look more vibrant than the original.

I’ve often imagined John Barry’s music for “The Specialist” as a Bond score. It really works!! Maybe the best 007 score that wasn’t even written for a 007 movie…

Just goes to show that music and the James Bond theme is everything. At 3:00 in this edit Connery actually looks like a badass, but in the actual film with the title song playing it comes across as cheesy and weird.

This is way way better than the original opening.The butchered the action scene with the love song they used.Also the added touches were awesome!

3:16 .... It always bothered me that there were no sparks coming out of the barrel of the machine gun used by James Bond! Good job!

I like the effort you put into this "what if" style presentation. Definitely like the Gunbarrel sequence.

Despite its flaws and that it's a remake of Thunderball, film would be a little better if it had the James Bond theme throughout the film where appropriate. Even the soundtrack presently in the film would be better for having Bond's theme. I do think that Connery's Bond would have the classic version with the Guitar riff as the Orchestral version is more associated more with Roger Moore.

Out of all the fanmade main titles of NSNA, this one is the best of them. Can you also release the textless version of your titles, so we can change the cast, the main composer and, of course, the title song preferred by someone (either Lani Hall or Phyllis Hyman)?

Got an idea, there's a fan theory about the 90s movie The Rock with Sean Connery and Nick Cage. The belief is that's it's Connery's Bond but they can't call him that due to copyright. I wonder what a cut of that movie as if it was an EON Bond movie would look like.

Amazing edit for a unofficial Bond film that I still watch occasionally. I've seen Blofeld's Cats edit 2 years ago which I thought the rescore gave the film some life into it and I look forward to see yours.
