I think I had a fleet of 4K attack corvettes that were spamming dodge take on about 13K of fallen empire fleet strength. sent them in on accident and lost 1 corvette in the process of destroying the entire fleet. My fleet had around a 95% dodge ratio...

Wow. I'm on my first long playthrough and this was way easier than I thought from from what I gathered from watching this video. I went in with a 62k fleet just for the hell of it. Around 30 vessels of each(corvettes, destroyers, cruisers, battleships) all armed with either tachyon lances and/or devastator torpedos. Now I've taken over all fallen empire territory in my game and have lost 3 battleships and about half my corvettes. And now their economy has boosted my own by 2-3 times.

a guy had a massive empire (lots of planets) but had an overall strength of 45k. he won with a fair number of lossez, but won. you just need a large empire and the ability to replenish your fleet easily to win.

My first experience in this game was angering a fallen empire with a fleet with 300k power who proceeded to steamroll everything in my possession while the AI empires that promised to protect me watched it happen.
