This is How I became a fallen empire. I was playing a normal game of Stellaris when the unbidden attacked my galaxy. They were too powerful for me so I took half our people and hid in a corner of the galaxy and closed the only entrance. Everyone else died but I survived I spent all our income on research and eventually we attacked the unbidden and won. I repopulated the galaxy then I closed myself off from everyone and watched the young races fight each other. We watched from afar And our empire has lasted 1000 years

The new tech rush option to Become the Crisis ends when you enter the black hole in the centre of the galaxy, but if you don't quit the game and continue in spectator mode you can see that your civ literally became a Fallen Empire. Your exit caused many stars to explode and become black holes, wrecking much of the galaxy, and all your core worlds have become Ecumenopolis.

This is every Stellaris players dream. To have a powerful empire tucked away in the corner where you can just watch everything unfold.

So I started setting up a similar type of game years ago. No ai empires to start, max habitable planets and max primitive civilizations. The original idea was part of achievement farming but it was so relaxing I do it all the time now lol. Primitives evolve into the craziest empires lol. There must be CK2 code in stellaris.

That's pretty much what happened with my last game, except I managed to barricade myself in the middle of the galaxy because the Contingency somehow forgot I existed. Meanwhile, the Cybrex had already destroyed two cores, but were too weak to reach the other two.
So I destroyed one that was close to where I was and eventually, since the Contingency was attacking me aggressively (probably because I had expanded a bit more and was colonizing terraformed planets), I used all the alloys I had to maximize the power of my fleets without thinking about the ship cap, I sent all my fleets in a make or break style final attack to destroy the last core and the main computer on the other side of the galaxy. I have been successful, but now instead of waiting for other empires to rise I am attempting to expand and create a united galactic republic.

Man i wish i was good at stellaris. When i used to play it, my ships would always get destroyed by other empires that hyper focused research on weapons whilst i was trying to diversify. Id love for this outcome

How? Astral lock cannot close the L-gate in Terminal Egress, as it has too many destinations. There is a relic that's supposed to lock all wormholes, etc. Never had it tho. Did you use that? Also, doesn't the unbidden hand jump drives?
I had a similar setup, only I took The Chosen's home systems, moved my entire population and watched the Scourge take over the galaxy

Also did you do a full genetic ascension to be able to create custom new races? Then created vassal and released or is this through another dlc?

I enclosed myself in a 7 star system and build a Citadel at the only entrance.

My 200k fleet plus 90k Citadel held back anything that came at me lol.
