The other part to this is that it makes it MUCH easier to just focus on one thing instead being expected to remember a BUNCH of things that you will likely brain dump 50% of it a month later if you manage to recall at all. I aim for the cloud but Theat Detection I'm focusing on atm to get in faster.

I agree, unless your goal isn’t to land a cybersecurity job right away. In that case, specialization shouldn’t be your priority.
