As a bioengineer myself, any kind of engineering is a path that has a lot of upsides. Depending on where you live, you will always find good pay for a specific field of engineering. Also, although the workload in college was immense, you’ll never feel overwhelmed. All the classes are straightforward and your advisor should have your entire path laid out for you. I recommend it if you want good pay, work good in a team, and have a strong creative mind.

Honestly, if you want to major in your true passion and your parents dont approve of it, just do it. You won't be thinking about money once you do something you like.

I’ve known since the end of year seven (when I was 13) what I wanted to do. I’m kinda blessed in that way. Had some mental health issues and realised I wanted to help people like me, I’ve been working towards the goal of being a psychologist since then.
