I will never live in a HOA, in fact I purchased a house for 20, 000.00 more because it was not in a HOA. Same kinda House. 6 blocks from a HOA. soo glad I did. When I sold my house I got 45, 000.00 more for the same kinda House that was part of the HOA.😊😊

So glad I bought my first home in a regular neighborhood. I've seen and heard so many horror stories. My next home will definitely not be anywhere near an HOA.

Never, never will I live on an HOA… I saw how they did my Mama in Fl. while she was battling cancer… All about the money!
One instance when it hadn’t rained in a long time and her grass looked like yours… they sent a letter saying she had 1 week to bring her grass to a satisfactory color of green or be fined $100 per week and double thereafter. 😡
With all her Italian bravado she cussed them out in Italian… I knew what she was saying, but they were clueless. I told them she said, ‘I’m battling cancer and could care less about the grass right now.’ Lol

I will live in a van for the rest of my life before ever purchasing an HOA home. Not only will I save way more money, but I will also save myself from a world of headaches. Less bills and more money in my pocket without a book of unnecessary rules controlling my life.

Why is it that people still desire to live in an HOA? I get the idea of an HOA, however 9x out of 10, the most power hungry people in those communities often get voted into board seats and then people are shocked when the rules they set for the community are often worse than actual government regulation.

I am sure if you get enough people together you could remove a HOA from a town. I mean The only people who like the HOA have to be the board members and well if I know anything. Get enough votes saying they should be disbanded they should be.

I’ve rented in Hoa neighbourhood and they made me not ever want to own a house that has hoa. It’s just an unnecessary headache.
The place I rented…
Had a two car garage, couldn’t leave cars parked outside of garage. visitor vehicle were only allowed four hours to park in neighbourhood. Hoa fees went up 200$ in one year, then the next year they were going up again. I moved out before that happened.

My brother live in a HOA ruled neighborhood once, they had people patrolling just to find things to ticket and fine people for. He didn't last long there.

Technically that’s not a weed but a medicinal herb called plantain… some of us grow it intentionally. Good thing I don’t have an HOA deciding what a weed is or is not 😂
