"He was shooting hoops into the night." = 4:30pm probably.

HOAs should be stripped of all legal authorities and capabilities. They do more harm than good.

Sorry, no one’s going to comment on this place being called “Youngtown”?

“He was shooting baskets into the night and they didn’t like that”

Yea he was probably trying to deal with his grief in a healthy way... god damn.

I remember when my mother passed away, she tried but was denied 4 times, to add me to lease before her death. They told me surrender keys or cops would get me out. A lawer heard I lived with her for years, that was it- Squatters Rights- got me on the lease, no eviction!

“Collen has to go.” Bruh, they’re making it sound like Collen’s a pet rather than a human being.

Why anyone would ever purchase a home with an HOA is beyond

I’m not a fan of the government but I think they should make HOAs illegal.

A child that's alone can't live with his grandparents because of an HOA? These people are sick in the mind full of fear and greed.

It’s been over a year now. The grandparents and child left the community in a settlement. The HOA bought their home and they left.

You would think seniors would be lining up to hire the kid to do odd jobs. I know I would!

If you live in an HOA then you don’t own your property, the HOA does.

Wait old people don’t want age discrimination but will discriminate against younger hmm the American way

You would think that most of these people probably being grandparents themselves would be outraged by throwing someone's poor orphaned child out onto the street.

News: "The HOA board has reached out to the family to resolve this matter..."

Me: *yeah but they weren't until the news went viral...*

That's discrimination at its finest.
I'm an old hag st 62 and Hate HATE. HATE the sound of basketball bouncing too. As I sit in my apartment that sits in front of the basketball court. I don't complain. We all have to share space and get along.
You would never in a million years hear me say a boy who lost both his parents has to go. I would offer him all the empathy in the world. I'm guessing his neighbors don't have a very good relationship with their own kids/grandkids. Horrid old farts. Get a heart in your wrinkly old chests.
